ZajÄ…czki, Lidzbark County

Zajączki ( German mountain hares, Circle Heilenberg ) is a small village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Lubomino ( Arnsdorf ) in a circle Lidzbark Warmiński ( circle Heilenberg ).

Geographical location

Zajączki located south of Jezioro Tonka ( Dittrich villages lake ) and 28 kilometers southwest of the former and current county town Lidzbark Warmiński ( Heilenberg ). The voivodeship 593 of Miłakowo (Lieb City) to Dobre Miasto ( Guttstadt ) and continue to Reszel ( Rößel ) leads past the southern city limits. The nearest train station is Lubomino ( Arnsdorf ) at the Polish state railway line 221 of Gutkowo ( Göttkendorf ) in Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ) to Braniewo ( Brown Mountain ).

History

The named to 1945 Hasenbergstraße small town was then a Vorwerk Elditten (now Polish: Ełdyty Wielkie ), which was from 1874 to 1945 seat and the eponymous site of an office district in the county Heilenberg in the district of Königsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia.

As a result of the Second World War came Hasenbergstraße 1945 Poland and received the Polish name Zajączki. The place is now in the Gmina Lubomino ( Arnsdorf ) in Lidzbarski powiat ( county Heilenberg ) in the Warmia and Mazury ( 1975-1998: Olsztyn Voivodeship ) involved.

Catholic

The vast majority of the population in Zajączki is today - and it was in Hasenbergstraße before 1945 - Catholic denomination. The village belongs to the parish Ełdyty Wielkie ( Elditten ) in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Catholic Church in Poland.

Protestant

The Protestant minority of Hasenberger population was before 1945 in the parish Reger dumplings (now Polish: Rogiedle ) eingepfarrt. In Reger dumplings were the only Protestant village parish in the predominantly Catholic Warmia. She was part of the church district of Warmia, Superintendenturbezirk Brown Mountain (now Polish: Braniewo ) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Church of the Old Prussian Union.
