ZajÄ…czkowo, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Zajączkowo ( German Alt Sanskow ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the urban and rural community Połczyn -Zdrój ( Bad Polzin ) and is located in the powiat Świdwiński.

Geographical location

Zajączkowo is located six kilometers south-west of Połczyn -Zdrój and was until 1991 a railway station on the railway line Połczyn - Zdrój Złocieniec ( Falkenburg ). Not far away is called " Luisenbad " known Międzyborze.

History

The lands in Old Sanskow were managed until 1855 by a manor. After that, the agricultural land was distributed on 62 farms. In 1867, 117 buildings scattered counted, including 54 residential buildings. In 1939, the population was 275 in 69 households.

Old Sanskow past contained also parts of the divided Gutsbezirks Althütten ( Dobino ). Thus, the eastern municipal boundary shifted.

Until 1945 was Old Sanskow district Belgard ( Persante ) and belonged to the district of Bramstädt. Last time was Chief Administrator in German Georg Klix. Old Sanskow had its own registry office, which was last conducted by Friedrich Bock and Georg Witte. District court area was Bad Polzin, police supervision exercised the Oberland hunters from Bramstädt from.

In early March 1945, the village was occupied by the Red Army. With the expulsion of the German population, the influx of Polish settlers began. Today Zajączkowo belongs to the urban and rural community Połczyn -Zdrój in powiat Świdwiński ( Schivelbein ).

School

Old Sanskow was an independent school location and decreed in 1867 a private school. Last headmaster before 1945 was Friedrich Bock.

Church

Old Sanskow belonged to Marie parish Bad Polzin and thus to the church Belgard ( Białogard ) of the Ecclesiastical Province of Pomerania in the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union.

Today Zająkowo belongs to the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.
