Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle

Zaksa Kędzierzyn -Koźle (until 2007 Mostostal - Azoty SA Kędzierzyn -Koźle ) is a men's volleyball club from Kędzierzyn -Koźle (German Kędzierzyn - Cosel ), playing in Polish Volleyball League.

Team

The squad for the 2012/13 season consists of 13 players. Trainer is the Argentinian Daniel Castellani.

History

The origins of the club go back to 1947 to the founding of KS Bierawianka, in 1951 changed its name to Unia Kędzierzyn and it took up volleyball in its program a year. Again one year later the railway club Kolejarz took over the section. 1969 merged Unia Kędzierzyn ( Kędzierzyn ) with the neighboring club Unia Blachownia ( Medar sheet metal hammer ) for MZKS Chemists ( Chemists ) Kędzierzyn, slowly began in the sports hall after the 1971 boom in higher athletic realms. This continued when the company Mostostal the club " Kędzierzyn -Koźle Mostostal - Azoty SA " took over as before due to the change to the nines sponsor, ZAK SA, the current club name was adopted in 2007. The " Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn SA " are essential carrier of the chemical site Kędzierzyn, which was founded by the Nazis before the second world war with the IG Farben plants and now produces the bulk of fertilizer from Poland. The district Aztoy (literally " sulfur " ) was first established under the Nazis as Heydebreck -South since Kędzierzyn from 1936 bore the name Heydebreck. In the district Azoty, and not as previously in Kędzierzyn, even the ultra-modern new sports hall was built a few years ago after the club dodged to European games previously regularly in the Opole voivodship ( Opole).

National success

Zaksa Kędzierzyn -Koźle playing in Polish Volleyball League and in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 Polish Champion. 2012 occupied one third. Polish Cup winner was the club in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2013.

European Cup

Zaksa Kędzierzyn -Koźle plays since 1998 on an international level. 1999/2000 Poland reached the third place in the CEV Cup and 2010/11 they lost only in the CEV Cup Sisley Treviso Finale from Italy. 2011/12 is entered in the Champions League on and came up in the play-offs of the twelve best teams in Europe.
