Zakumi

Zakumi is the official mascot of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The figure depicts a green-haired leopard, wearing a white football jersey and green pants. Its name is derived from "ZA", the international license plate for South Africa, and " kumi ", a word that means ten in several African languages ​​(as in 2010). Translated Zakumi is so for " South Africa 2010".

Zakumi was invented Andries Odendaal from Cape Town and presented to the public on 22 September 2008.
