Zalmon Wildman

Zalmon Wildman ( born February 16, 1775 in Danbury, Connecticut, † December 10, 1835 in Washington, DC ) was an American politician. In 1835, he represented the state of Connecticut in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

After attending primary school Zalmon Wildman Hatter was. In Charleston (South Carolina) and Savannah (Georgia ), he opened the first hat shops. Between 1824 and 1826, he was president of the Danbury National Bank. From 1805 to 1835, he also served as postmaster in Danbury.

His political career began with his election to the House of Representatives from Connecticut in 1818., Where he remained until 1819. In the congressional elections of 1834, which were held all across the state of Connecticut, Wildman was a candidate of the Democratic Party in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC selected. There he took over on March 4, 1835, the mandate of Phineas Miner. However, he was able to exercise his new office only until 10 December of the same year. On that day he died in the U.S. capital.
