Zamęcin

Zamęcin ( German Sammenthin ) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Choszczno the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

The place is located in the Neumark, about six kilometers south of the city Choszczno ( Arnswalde ) and 62 kilometers south-east of the regional capital Szczecin ( Szczecin).

History

Under the name Sammentin the village was mentioned in a document issued in Konigsberg in Neumark document from 1282 in which the Margrave of Brandenburg to the monastery Kolbatz confirmed his possessions, with the exception of the towns Arnswalde and Sammentin that had to give it up.

The region was made ​​after the end of World War II under Polish administration.

Parish
