The Zandtbach is a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat in Middle Franconia.

Course

The Zandtbach arises between Oberrammersdorf and Zandt. It flows through the Zandt, willow, idols, and Erlenmühle after Wattenbach. Passing Fischbach and Rücker village runs the Zandtbach in north-east direction to the art mill, where it flows into the Frankish Rezat.

Etymology

The name is derived from, in Franconia frequent, field-names - ze and the clear - bach. The creek had thus originally no name, but was a small river in a particular corridor. At one point where the creek was forded, was named after this point place Wattenbach.
