Zaven Andriasian

Sawen Andriasjan (Armenian Զավեն Անդրիասյան, in scientific transliteration Zaven Andriasyan; born March 11, 1989 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian chess master. The FIDE leads him under the English transliteration Zaven Andriasian.

Andriasjan made ​​the end of the 1990s as a strong youth players attention to itself: As early as 1998 he was a participant at the European Youth Championships U10, 2005, he won the European Youth Championships U16 in Herceg Novi. A year later, he became vice European champion in the category U18 and in the same year World Junior Champion in Yerevan. This completely unexpected success for Andriasjan meant for him at the same time the Grandmaster title he was officially awarded in 2007 by FIDE.

His current Elo rating is 2620 (as of July 2013), its highest ever in 2645 in March 2011.
