Zbigniew Girzyński

Zbigniew Girzyński ( born March 17, 1973 in Sierpc ) is a Polish historian, politician and, since 2005 Member of the Sejm in the V, VI and VII legislature.

Curriculum vitae

In 1992 he passed the Abitur at the diocesan seminary spiritual in Płock. From 1992 to 1997 he studied history and from 1997 to 2001, he earned his doctorate at the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń -.

Scientific activity

In 2001 he defended his doctoral thesis on the subject of Polish- French relations in the years 1945 to 1950 and began his work as a lecturer in the Department of History and Archives essence of Mikołaj Kopernik - University and at the College of Social and Economics in Wloclawek. He is author of several articles and three monographs on historical subjects. 2002 Scholarship of the Polonia Aid Foundation Trust awarded him. Social and journalistic activities

He also served as press secretary of the Youth Association of the ROP and board member of the ROP. In 2001, he joined the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS) at. From 2002 to 2003 he was chairman of PiS in the Kujawsko - Pomerania and in the years 2003 and 2004 he was Deputy Chairman of the PiS in this province. Since 2002 he is member of the Political Council of the PiS.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections, he was elected on the list of PiS for the constituency of Toruń in the Sejm. V. In the legislature he was secretary of the Group of Law and Justice and Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Education, Science and Youth, as well as a member of the Foreign Affairs Commission and the Polish delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council.
