Zbigniew Pacelt

Zbigniew Pacelt ( born August 26, 1951 in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ) and was pentathlete and swimmers.

Life

In 1969 Pacelt his high school and began studying at the Sport University " Józef Piłsudski " in Warsaw. This he graduated in 1975 with a master's from. He began his racing career at the club KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski as a float. From 1960 to 1972 he was with AZS Warszawa and then to 1980 in Lotnik or Legia Warsaw. He won multiple championships in the Polish Medley and set multiple records in Polish freestyle and locations. At the Summer Olympics in 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics in swimming and 1976 in the pentathlon Zbigniew Pacelt was each part of the Polish delegation. After the Summer Games 1976, he ended his career as an athlete and as a coach began. When that he could achieve with the Polish team at the 1992 Summer Olympics, two gold medals. In 1994 he became Director of Competitive Sports at the Office of Physical Culture and Sports. From 2001 he was deputy chairman of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports until the dissolution of the Authority in June 2002. Then was Pacelt 2003-2005 Vice-Chairman of the Polish Sports Confederation. In the 2005 parliamentary elections with 8,455 votes he could win a seat in the Sejm and became Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism. This seat he could defend in the early general elections in 2007 and was dated 26 November 2007 to 21 November 2008 again deputy sports minister.

Zbigniew Pacelt is married and has one daughter.

Awards

Zbigniew Pacelt is an honorary citizen of his birthplace Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, has received the Gold Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland and is an officer of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
