Zbrašov aragonite caves

The Zbraschauer aragonite ( Czech Zbrašovské aragonitové Caves ) are located two miles south of Hranice na Moravě in Okres Přerov, Czech Republic.

They are in white kirchener Karst in a tributary of the Bečva on the territory of the municipality Teplice is sought.

The caves were discovered in 1921 and are publicly accessible since 1926. They originated hydrothermally and the only of its kind to open in the Czech Republic for the visitor traffic.

In the caves, which have a total length of 900 m, there is a temperature of 14 ° C. Over a distance of 300 m they are accessible. Inside are aragonite, such as Geysirstalagmiten.
