Zbrosławice

Zbrosławice ( German Broslawitz ) is a village and seat of the municipality of the same country ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat tarnogórski the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geography

The village lies on the banks of the River Drama surrounded by agricultural land and forest clad hills. Through the community run the Province Road 903 ( droga wojewódzka 903) from Krakow to Opole and the # 908 of Częstochowa to Gliwice. Railroads lead to Bytom and Katowice.

History

Until the Second World War it was a Prussian municipality in the Upper Silesian Polish border in the district of Bytom - Tarnowitz. On May 1, 1874 Amtsbezirks Broslawitz in a circle Tarnowitz from the rural communities Broslawitz, Kempczowitz, Nierada and Ptakowitz and the agricultural estates Broslawitz, Kempczowitz and Ptakowitz was formed. First official overseer was the landed gentry of Stockmann's from Broslawitz. Community and Gutsbezirk Broslawitz had 493 inhabitants in 1910 together. The rural communities Kempczowitz and the estate districts Broslawitz and Kempczowitz were incorporated on September 30, 1928 in the rural community Broslawitz. Thereafter, the District Broslawitz comprised only the two communities Broslawitz and Ptakowitz. On October 1, 1936, the municipalities Broslawitz and Ptakowitz were merged to form the new municipality Dramatal. 1939 Dramatal 3,038 inhabitants. Former place names were Broslawitz, Broslawice, Drama Thal, Dramatal, Zbrosławice (from 1945).

Buildings

Historically significant is the Baroque parish church of the Assumption of the 17th century.
