Zbruch Idol

Zbruch Idol (Polish Światowid ze Zbrucza, Ukr Збручанський ідол ) is a Svetovid column of limestone, the river Zbruch near the village Lykiwtschi (Polish Liczkowce, Ukr Личківці ) was found in 1848. It arose in the 9th or 10th century ..

Since 1851, the idol will be displayed in the Archaeological Museum in Cracow.

The column is 2.57 m tall, 29-30 cm wide and weighs about 500 kg.

In the 1980s, BO Timoschtschuk and P. Rusanowa have proven that the pillar was originally located on the nearby Parco mountain Bohod or Bogit. There is a circle of stones was discovered with eight fireplaces and traces of a square column. In the column traces of red color have been found.
