Zbych Trofimiuk

Zbych Krzysztof Trofimiuk ( born April 7, 1979 in Warsaw) is an Australian actor of Polish origin.

Biography

Trofimiuk was born as the son of Czech painter Jurak Trofimiuk and the Australian sculptor Zoja Trofimiuk in Poland, at the age of four he moved to Australia with his parents. He attended Melbourne Boys High School. In 1994 he became known for his series The Vampire Stars ( Sky Trackers ), for which he was awarded in 1995 with both an AFI Award for Best New Talent category as well as having a Young Actor's Award. He gained more fame for his starring role in Spellbinder (1995). For this role he received an award, the Premier 's VCE Award ( 1996). Both series were broadcast on German television. After he had initially retired in 1996 from the acting business, he attended the Sandrigham High School. He then studied at the Victoria University and received his degree there in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Performance Studies. Since 2005 Trofimiuk working again as an actor, but only on the stage. He was to be seen, among other things in the play Bunny and directed La Mama. Currently he is a lecturer at Monash University in Victoria. Trofimiuk also works as an artist.
