Zdeněk Psotka

Zdeněk Psotka ( born November 18, 1973 in Olomouc ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Psotka began his career at Sokol Nedvězí. At the age of 13 years, the goalkeeper moved to Sigma Olomouc. In the spring of 1992, he was number two behind Luboš Přibyl, after goalkeeper Martin Vaniak had hurt. In the aftermath Psotka but not passed by the duo Přibyl - Vaniak. He moved to SK Litovel, in the 1994/95 season he played at the then second division ČSK Uherský Brod.

Then the goalkeeper concentrated mainly on his university studies. After he had injured his shoulder, he was from Sigma Olomouc the opportunity to start as an assistant coach with the B team.

Coaching career

After one season as an assistant at the B team Psotka coached in the game of 1999/00 the juniors from Sigma. From 2000 to 2005, Psotka head coach of the B team, with which he ascended to the 2nd league in 2000/ 01. Since 2005, the former goalkeeper coaching the A- juniors of the club and was also head of the entire Juniors Division.

For the 2008/09 season Psotka signed a three-year contract with the professionals from Sigma Olomouc.
