Zdeněk Svoboda

Zdeněk Svoboda ( born May 20, 1972 in Brno ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Club career

Zdeněk Svoboda began playing football at Sokol Sobesice, after two years he moved to Zbrojovka Brno. For the Brno the midfielder made ​​his debut in the 1989/90 season in the 1st Czechoslovak league. From 1991 to 1992 Svoboda completed his military service at Dukla Prague and then returned to Brno.

Even after half a year he moved to Sparta Prague, where he spent most of his career. For Sparta Svoboda played 174 first division matches in which he scored 25 goals, he also won with Sparta seven times the Czech Championship.

In the years 1996 and 1997, Svoboda graduated nine games for the Czech national football team.

In October 2001, Svoboda joined the Belgian first division club KVC Westerlo, but he denied because of persistent injury problems only 16 games in three and a half years. In summer 2005, Svoboda went to the Oberliga Nord for BV Cloppenburg, after a year he moved on to the Sliema Wanderers. 2007 ended his career Svoboda.

Coach

Svoboda has been training since the 2008/ 09 season, the B team of Sparta Prague in the second league.
