Zdeňka Vávrová

Zdenka Vávrová (* 1945 ) is a Czech astronomer.

Vávrová engaged in the observation of minor planets of the solar system. Among their observations on Kleť Observatory was among other things, the periodic comet named 134P/Kowal-Vávrová. The object with the provisional designation 1983 JG, turned her is without coma and was therefore initially thought of her as asteroid. Later recordings by Charles T. Kowal, however, showed a coma and had the object so as a comet from.

In the period 1978-1991 she discovered 115 asteroids. According to her, even the asteroid (3364) is named Zdenka.
