Zdenko Baotić

Zdenko Baotić ( born March 9, 1985 in Gradačac, Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian Herzegovinian football goalkeeper. He has next to the BiH and the Croatian nationality. Since the end of season 2008/ 09 Baotić is at Otelul Galati in Romania under contract.

Career

Baotić began his career as a professional football player in 2001 at HNK Orašje in the Premijer Liga, the top division of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the football club from Orašje he completed 85 games until 2006 and was with the team in the season 2005/ 06 of Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup Winner. After his departure, he got an offer from the Croatian giants Hajduk Split, but he turned down to move to the FK Željezničar Sarajevo the capital of his home country. The Blue -Whites from Sarajevo he ran in 24 games on the court, before he was out of contract in 2008. After that he was in contact with the Austrian Bundesliga SK Sturm Graz, where he completed a four-day trial in December 2008. On January 5, 2009 it was announced that Baotić has a contract until the end of season 2008/ 09 signed with SK Sturm with an option for two more years, which is, however, not pulled. For the Styrian club Baotić was never used. Only once in his time at the club he was sitting as a second goalkeeper on the bench, but he came for the amateur team from Graz to seven inserts in the third-tier Regionalliga Mitte.

In the summer before the season 2009/10 he moved to Oţelul Galaţi in the League 1, the top division in the Romanian football.

Internationally

From 2002 to 2007 Baotić was in goal for the U- 21 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which he completed a total of 17 matches. In autumn 2007, it took the coach of the Bosnian - Herzegovinian national football team, Fouad Muzurović on the squad.
