Zdenko Uzorinac

Zdenko Uzorinac (* July 7, 1929 in Zagreb, † 10 June 2005) was a Yugoslav table tennis player and journalist. In particular, the representation of the history of table tennis sport he has acquired merit.

Life and career

Uzorinac began in 1941 with the table tennis sport in the club Hlask Zagreb. He was defender. He won several national titles and was represented at four World Championships, namely 1948, 1951, 1955 and 1959. His biggest success was the bronze medal here in 1951 with the team. With the club GSTK Zagreb he won 1961/62 European Cup.

Since 1955 Uzorinac article wrote for several journals. In addition, he published 13 books, mostly with historical content. Much attention is his 1926-2001 ITTF - Table Tennis Legends, which was published to mark the 75th anniversary of the ITTF. Here he wrote about the sizes of table tennis portraits and anecdotes.

Uzorinac was a member of the International Association of Sports Journalists AIPS. From the ITTF 1995, he was honored with the Award of Merit.
