Zdíkov

Zdíkov ( German United Zdikau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north-west of Vimperk and belongs to Okres Prachatice.

Geography

Zdíkov located on the northern edge of the Bohemian Forest, in a gentle valley at the confluence of the creek creek creek Adámkův in the Zdíkovský. History

The first written mention of Zdíkov place in the year 1318. The name of the village probably derives ago from Winterberg Burggrafen Zdík Janovice.

Under the Malowetz of Cheynow on winter mountain Zdíkov formed a Familienfideikommiss. Johann Freiherr von Malovice let allodieren Zdíkov and sold the estate in 1799 to Franz Graf von and SICKINGEN. This sold the estate in 1803 to the k.k. Colonel Jacob Freiherr von Wimmer. The Wimmer 's heirs sold Zdíkov in 1822 to Count Ferdinand Palffy of Erdöd.
