Zdobín

Zdobín ( German Sdobin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers west of Dvůr Králové nad Labem and belongs to Okres Trutnov.

Geography

Surrounded by pine forests place is in the southeast of the ridge Zvičinský hřbet on a hilltop above the valley of the brook Bystrý creek. By Zdobín a watershed pulls; place in the spring the Trotina and creek in the source Baliharka the current flowing in the Bystřice Zdobinský. To the northwest lies the desert castle Šluspárk.

Neighboring towns are Třebihošť in the north, Dolni Dehtov and Hliníky in the northeast, Zábřezí - Řečice in the east, in the southeast Trotina, Trotinka and Miletín in the southwest, Miletínské Lazne in west and Brodek and Úhlejov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village belonging to the reign Miletín Dubin is from the year 1238. 1265 acquired the German Order of the village. During the Thirty Years' War Zdobín was completely burned down, and since the 17th century it belonged to the rule Poličany. After the replacement of patrimonial Zdobín came in 1850 for the judicial district Hořice and in 1924 the district court Dvůr Králové nad Labem allocated.

Until 1919 Zdobín formed a district of Trotina. Since the 1920s Christmas ornaments is made in Zdobín.

1865 was the source Baliharka a stone version whose recovery on September 9, 2007, ended.
