Zdzisław Kwaśny

Zdzisław Kwaśny ( born November 6, 1960) is a former Polish athlete, who specializes in the hammer throw.

The greatest success of his career, he celebrated at the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki. There, he won with a width of 79.42 m the bronze medal behind Sergei Litvinov ( 82.68 m) and Yuri Sedych ( 80.94 m) from the Soviet Union. In the same year Kwaśny was also Polish champion.

Zdzisław Kwaśnys personal best in the hammer throw is 80.18 meters, set on 21 August 1983 in London. The width was almost seventeen years stock before it was surpassed by Szymon Ziółkowski as a Polish record.
