Zé Castro

José Eduardo Rosa Vale e Castro ( born January 13, 1983 in Coimbra ), called Zé Castro, is a Portuguese footballer who plays in La Liga with Deportivo La Coruna.

Playing career

Académica Coimbra

Even in their early 20s was Zé Castro Captain of the Portuguese first division club Académica from his home town of Coimbra. In the summer of 2006 the young Portuguese refused some top offers from all over Europe to sign Atletico Madrid.

Atlético Madrid

Come the summer of 2006 he was in his first season contest 22 league games and scored two goals. This was significantly more than expected, due mainly to the injury of his teammates. However, he showed his class in the jersey of the " Colchoneros " proof.

For the 2008/ 09 season he was loaned to Atlético Erstligarivalen Deportivo La Coruna. Deportivo also had an option to purchase two million euros, at the end of the loan period also perceived the club.

National

Zé Castro appeared in numerous international matches for the youth national teams of Portugal. In the national team he has so far completed only a friendly match against Estonia.
