Zé Vítor

Zé Vitor ( born February 11, 1982 in Funchal, civil José Vitor Jardim Vieira ) is a football player with Portuguese nationality.

Zé Vitor started his professional career in 2005 when the Portuguese first division club Nacional, where he played with Diego Benaglio together, the current keeper of the Swiss national team. He had also launched in previous years with local rivals Marítimo Funchal and Câmara de Lobos and CSD AD Machico on his home island of Madeira his career.

In January 2008, he left Portugal and moved on to Swiss first division club FC St. Gallen. He fought in the following games under coach Krassimir Balakov a regular place in the first team. However, after 15 appearances and three goals in the second half of the season 2007/ 08 he went along with his team from the Challenge League.

Under Balakows successor Uli Forte Zé Vitor got less and less playing time during the 2008/09 season. In the 2009/10 season he was a regular on the right wing. He played constantly and had at almost every gate of FCSG his feet in the game.

Since July 2010, Zé Vitor plays for Cypriot first division club AEL Limassol. Prior to joining he had fallen out with coach Uli Forte St. Gallen, who asked not to renew his contract, among other things because of lack of discipline.
