The Zeegenbach is a 12 km long river in the Franconian Jura. The lake is about 15 km southwest of Bamberg in Strullendorf. Its catchment area is part of the Main.

Name

In the official maps of the Zeegenbach is partially represented as goats Bach. In other non- official maps the waters called in the lower reaches also Strullendorfer Bach. The area of ​​Zeegenbachtals is also known as Franconian Tuscany.

Course

The creek originates east of the hamlet Strullendorfer Zeegendorf in the karst area of the Franconian Switzerland. There, feeds a large number of small sources, the body of water. By Zeegenbachtal the same creek flows towards Strullendorf. At its course are the villages Zeegendorf, manure village, Leesten, Werndorf and Amlingstadt belonging to the municipality Strullendorf. West of Strullendorf crosses under the Zeegenbach the Rhine -Main- Danube Canal with the help of a culvert. North of Pettstadt opens the stream in the Regnitz.
