Drawings of the patient OT is the title of the second album of German music group Einstürzende Neubauten. The album was released in 1983. The album was recorded from January to August 1983 in London, Berlin and Hamburg.
Background information
Musically " drawings of the patient OT" on the debut album of Einstürzende Neubauten " collapse ", where new variants of sound production were explored. Thus, the nine- second long piece " fingers and teeth " of gnashing of teeth and fingers cracking.
The initials O.T. refer to Oswald Tschirtner. Tschirtner suffered from mental illness and painted during his hospitalization. This form of painting has developed into an independent art form called Art Brut.
In 2002, the album was re-released on CD in digipak format with the record label Potomak. The original design of the plate was taken. In addition to the regular items is also musical bonus material on the re-release.
