The S-Bahn station Zepernick ( b Bernau ) is a station of the Berlin S-Bahn. It is located at kilometer 18.2 of the Szczecin railway in the Brandenburg municipality Panke Valley.

Location and construction

The train station is located north of the overpass Schönower road in the district Zepernick. The adjacent stations are Röntgental in 1.7 kilometers to the southwest, and Bernau- Friedenstal into three kilometers to the northeast. It includes a partially covered, 170 -meter-long central platform and a reception building at the southwest end. Access is only from the Schönower road. In addition to the stair wells, there is a lift system.

The station building no longer serves its original purpose. It was acquired by the municipality Panketal 2009. Over a subsequent use has not been decided yet.

The entire plant is taken as a historic monument in the national list of Brandenburg.

History

On September 1, 1881, the Prussian state railways taught a first breakpoint in Zepernick, which was founded in 1910 with the addition of (Kr Niederbarnim ) provided. As of 1911, the four-tracked expansion of the Szczecin railway and the lift kit the railway line on a dam began. Connection

The station is served by the S2 S-Bahn Berlin in 20 -minute intervals. It offers connecting flights to the bus lines 867, 868, 891, 900 and 901 of the Barnim Bus Company.
