ZH-29

The ZH- 29 is a self-loading rifle of the Czech arms designer Václav Holek. It was developed in the 1920 years in Czechoslovakia, but not adopted by the Czechoslovak military despite modern design. It was produced in small series from 1929 to 1938. From 1930 to 1932 about 500 units were exported to Manchuria, where it was on the part of the Chinese army in Manchuria crisis used. The destruction of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany put an end to the production. When ZH -29 is a gas operated. The system was later used for the German Sturmgewehr 44
