Zhang Zeduan

Zhang Zeduan (Chinese张择端/张择端, Pinyin Zhang Zeduan, Chang Tse- tuan W.-G. ), ( farm name :正道, Zheng Dào ) (* 11th century in Dongwu; † 12th century ) was a Chinese painter of the Song Dynasty.

Zhang Zeduan probably was court painter during the Northern Song Dynasty and the Southern Song period was critical of. What little we know about Zhang Zeduan stems from colophons in his pictures, which authored a certain Zhang Zhu in 1186.

The most famous painting Zhang Zeduans is the so-called Qingming role which scenes in the Song capital Bian Liang (now Kaifeng ) represents.
