Ziemendorf is a district of the city Arendsee ( Altmark) in the Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Zieme village located north of Arend lake just south of the border with the state of Lower Saxony, the former inner- German border, and is a typical march Hufendorf.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1375. First settlers who probably came from Holland, put the existing wetland dry here to there agricultural use. The church, a brick building with field stone base dates from the years 1869-71, after the previous church was burned down in 1540 on 18 June 1865.

Due to a change in the contract area, the municipal council of the municipality Ziemendorf decided on 28 May 2009, that the church Ziemendorf is incorporated into the city Arendsee ( Altmark). This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.

After incorporation of the previously autonomous municipality Ziemendorf Ziemendorf district of the city was Arendsee ( Altmark). For powered finished my community the village constitution according to § § 86 et seq Municipal Code Saxony -Anhalt has been introduced. The municipality is my finished Ziemendorf and future district Zieme village was the village of the host city Arendsee ( Altmark). In the eingemeindeten community and nunmehrigen village Ziemendorf a Ortschaftsrat was formed with five members, including mayor.
