Zigmas Vaišvila

Zigmas Vaišvila ( born December 20, 1956 in Šiauliai) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

After graduation with honors in 1974 at the high school he graduated in 1979 with honors Didždvaris the study of physics at the Vilniaus universitetas and in 1984 he received his doctorate. From 1981 he worked in the Department of Nuclear Physics at the Physics Institute of the Lietuvos mokslų akademija as a research assistant. From 1988 he was a member of Sąjūdis. From 1990 to 1992 he was a member of the Seimas, 1991-1992 Deputy Prime Minister. From 1991 to 1992 he was Director General of Valstybės saugumo departamentas ( State Security Department ).
