Ziniaré Department

Ziniare is both a municipality ( commune urbaine French ) as well as a comprehensive department of the same territory in the West African nation of Burkina Faso, about 35 km northeast of the capital, Ouagadougou, and has in the five sectors of the main town and 48 other villages 62 026 inhabitants. Ziniare is the capital of the Plateau Central region and the province Oubritenga.

In Ziniare the first market of mainly inhabited by Mossi central plateau took place.
