Zlarin

Zlarin ( Ital: Slarino ) is an island of the archipelago before Šibenik and lies off the mainland coast in Croatia.

In 1386 the island was first mentioned in a document. But it is already inhabited much longer, as finds from the Roman period show. In the 15th century, the coral diving came up. After its end in the early 20th century, many inhabitants had to emigrate. In the village Zlarin there is a coral museum that shows the craftsmanship of the processing of the corals.
