Zonouz or Zohnouz (Persian زنوز, Zonūz ) is a small village in the East Azerbaijan province in Iran. It is located in the mountains, so it has very cold winters and not very hot summer.

Vegetation

Zonouz is known for the many different apple varieties. It is the " apple capital" of Iran with some apple trees that grow only in Zonouz. There are growing almost 25 different types of apple trees in Zonouz, half of them only grow in Zonouz. This includes " Gerde Shirin " and Bajeyi. " In Zonouz also a fruit called growing " Malachi ".

Zonouz also has very famous mountains such as the " Mahar ", which are tourist attractions.
