Zschirnstein

The Zschirnsteine ​​are two distinctive mesas in Kleingießhübel ( to Reinhardt -Schöna belonging ), about 7 km south of Bad Schandau in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, west of the Elbe, not far north of the Czech border.

The 561 -meter-high Great Zschirnstein is the highest mountain of Saxon Switzerland.

The Little Zschirnstein is also a sandstone mesa. It is 473 m high and is located north of the Great Zschirnstein.

Both mesas are in the forest and can be climbed on foot. They offer wide views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and beyond.
