Zurdok is the current name of a Mexican rock band from Monterrey. It was founded in 1993 as a group Zurdok Movimiento ( Zurdok movement). Around the turn of the millennium was Zurdok one of the most influential music groups in the country; 1999, however, left one of the two singers the band and 2002 led to a preliminary separation of the musicians. In 2006 there was a brief reunion, now the band seems however to have definitively resolved.

The sound of the band alternates between alternative rock, rock latino and heavy metal. The lyrics are in Spanish and often melancholic character.

Band History

As founding the group July 15, 1993 is given. After the group initially only wanted to play music and no concerts held, it came on 13 May 1994 Monterrey to their debut. The following year won Zurdok Movimiento, the first band outside of Mexico City, the Contest Battle Of The Bands.

In 1997, the first album ( Antena ) was published; Tropecé was the first single. With the recording of the album Hombre sintetizador 1998 " Movimiento" disappeared from the band's name. The last studio album in 2000 Maquillaje was taken. By "artistic differences" and the phasing out of their record deal came in 2002 for the temporary end of Zurdok.

Chetes and Terracina appeared in 2005 with the band Vaquero again, further presented Chetes 2006 solo album. The other members met in 2006 a few more times to perform together at festivals. David Izquierdo plays today with the Dalai band.
