Zuzana Roithová

Zuzana Roithová ( born January 30, 1953 in Prague ) is a Czech politician Křesťanská a demokratická unie - Československé strana Lidová ( KDU- CSL ).

Roithová attended the general medical faculty of Charles University in Prague, put his medical exam in radiation diagnosis and thus became a Doctor of Medicine. At Sheffield Hallam University, she became a Master of Business Administration. In 1978, she began as a doctor, first at the hospital in Beroun, later at the University Hospital Motol and Royal Vinohrady, both in Prague. At the latter hospital, she was director from 1990 to 1998.

Roithová, which was from 2001 to 2003 deputy chairman of the KDU- CSL, was appointed Minister of Health in early 1998. This office she put down but after a few months after she was elected in the constituency of Prague 10 in the Senate, where she was employed until 2004. Since 2004 she is a member of the European Parliament. 2013, it stood as a candidate for the office of the Czech president and stepped down from 4.95% in the first ballot.
