Zvi Hirsch Chajes

Zvi Hirsch ben Meir Chajes ( born November 20, 1805 in Brody, Galicia, † October 12, 1855 in Lviv ) was an Orthodox rabbi and Talmudic scholar. Chajes worked for many years in Zolkiew. He came from a Bohemian - Jewish family and is considered one of the most important Galician Talmudists of his time.
