‘Aziziya

Al-' Aziziyah ( El Azizia also; Arab العزيزية, DMG al - Aziziya ʿ ) is a city in northwestern Libya and the capital of Munizips al - Dschifara.

The town has 4,096 inhabitants (2010) and is located 55 kilometers from Tripoli. It is located in the fertile Djeffara level on an important trade route from northern to southern Libya.

On September 13, 1922, a temperature of 57.7 degrees Celsius was measured in al-' Aziziyah during a sandstorm. The accuracy of the measurement is controversial. Should agree with the value, it represents the highest ever measured on earth temperature
