1. SC Znojmo

The first SC Znojmo is a Czech football club from the South Moravian Znojmo. Under the name SKPP Znojmo of the club from 1992 to 1994 and was second-rate from 2010. 2013 reached the summit in the first league. Many later first division completed their military service at the former police and army sports club.

Club history

The first SC Znojmo was founded in 1952 as a DSO Rudá Hvězda Znojmo. The name Rudá Hvězda, German Red Star, while all wore clubs, under the Ministry of Interior, that were in fact police sports clubs.

RH Znojmo rose in 1962 in the then third-rate Krajský přebor on and immediately took fourth place in the relay Moravia. 1965 Znojmo won his group, but remained mediocre. Instead eleven squadrons of Krajský přebor henceforth formed six groups of the so-called Divize the third Czechoslovakian league. There, the team could only hold up to 1967 and rose from the Viertklassigkeit. While followed by the immediate re- ascent, but the Znojmo could keep only one year in the Divize.

Almost 20 years had the audience in Znojmo wait for a return to the Divize that was only the fourth- highest division in the former Czechoslovakia now. There Znojmo, however, held only in the 1987/88 season and marched directly into the 3rd League by the so-called CNL II. There, too, played the Moravia same with the front. In the season 1988/89, it was enough to seventh place, 1989/90, even for third place. Before start of the season the club had merged with TJ Sokol Práče, after the end of the season, renaming followed in SKP Znojmo Práče.

The following year, the SKP Znojmo delivered a long time open Rise duel with TJ TŽ Třinec, but eventually stayed two points behind his rival. In the 1991/92 season the team but was still able to celebrate promotion to the second Czechoslovak league. It was the first second-division season in club history, and also the last common season of Czechoslovakia.

Coach Jiří Fryš brought the team with 24 points from 30 games to eleventh place, avoiding thus the narrowest of margins, the play-offs. What became apparent in the first year second division, was 1993/94 reality. With only three wins and a total of 16 points, Znojmo proved to be too weak for the second league and entered into the MSFL. There the team ended three times in a row midfield positions before she League Table 1997 /98 and descent into Divize.

The renamed in 1995 in Znojmo VTJ Association changed its name again in 1999, this time in Fotbal Znojmo. Two years later, the club merged with FC 1 SC Znojmo Znojmo. In the 2001 / 02 season, the team reached the summit in the MSFL, where it landed in the middle at the end of the season again. 2009/10 brought you look at the title of the MSFL and got back on to the second division. In the 2012/2013 season the 1st SC Znojmo won the 1st place in the 2nd league and thus rose to the Gambrinus Liga.

Stadiums

Since its inception, played RH Znojmo in the so-called stadium CAFKA in downtown. The name of the place was derived from ČAFC Znojmo. This is now non-existent club had used the 5,000 capacity stadium before. Until 1983 this was ash in a converted lawn. The game against Kyjov in 1985 saw 4,200 spectators - to this day club record.

In the summer of 2000, the owner of the stadium VTJ Znojmo had so far in debt that the site was threatened with demolition. Finally, the town of Znojmo stepped into the breach and saved with a cash injection the stadium.

Since the re-emergence in the Divize 2002, the club plays mostly in sadech v Husových Stadium, also called stadium Husovy Sady. The capacity of this stadium is equipped with career around 5,000 spectators. It was built from 1952 to 1958 and summarized earlier up to 8,000 visitors.
