(1016 ) Anitra is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 31 January 1924 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg State Observatory king - chair of the University of Heidelberg.

Namesake of the asteroid is probably the figure of Anitra in Henrik Ibsen 's poem Peer Gynt.
