( 1023) Thomana is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 25 June 1924 by German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth, who worked at the observatory on the King chair at Heidelberg.

The asteroid is named after the triad of St. Thomas Choir, St Thomas' Church in Leipzig and St. Thomas School in Leipzig. The Thomana is based on the initiative of Margrave Dietrich of the oppressed of Meissen in 1212. A on March 20, 1212, sealed by Emperor Otto IV at the Frankfurt Reichstag document attesting to the establishment.
