10th Chess Olympiad

The 10th Chess Olympiad took place until August 31, 1952 in Helsinki ( Finland ), 9.

Survey

It was attended by 25 teams, identified in three opening acts, the teams for the final groups A to C. 140 players took part in the competition, including 13 grandmasters and 38 international masters. Both the opening acts as well as the final groups were discharged as a round robin tournaments. The first three teams each opening act qualified for the Final Group A

Was wearing the Chess Olympiad in Svenska Handelshögskolan in Helsinki. Chief Judge was Karel Opočenský from Czechoslovakia. The cooling-off period was two and a half hours for 40 moves, then one hour for each 16 moves. The rankings were determined based on the board points (BP) and Team Points (MP).
