Era / period

  • To 9640 BC: The transition from the geological epoch of the Pleistocene to the Holocene. With the end of the Younger Dryas, the last cold fluctuation at the end of the last ice age, the Pleistocene ends and it begins today ruling warm period ( or Neo- Flanders warm period ).
  • To 9600 BC starts the Middle Stone Age in Central Europe.

Events

  • In North America, the Clovis culture makes its appearance. Their existence can be dated to 9000 BC to about 9500. Found tools and animal bones, the Clovis people as hunters and gatherers who preferred the mammoth and other large animals hunted.
  • To 9500 BC: The oldest phase of the temple complex at Göbekli Tepe the (Southeast Turkey).
  • Between 9800 and 8280 BC: The southern tip of America ( Tierra del Fuego ) is populated.

  • To 10000 BC: Evidence of artificial skull openings in present-day Morocco.
