( 1181 ) Lilith is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt. He was discovered on February 11, 1927 by Benjamin Jekhowsky in Algiers.
Lilith moves at a distance of 2.1424 ( perihelion ) to 3.1850 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in about 4.3 years around the sun. The web of Lilith is inclined 5.5897 ° to the ecliptic, the orbital eccentricity is 0.1957.
The discoverer Benjamin Jekhowsky chose the name " Lilith " in honor of the French composer Marie Juliette Olga " Lili " Boulanger ( 1893-1918 ).
