11th Chess Olympiad
The 11th Chess Olympiad took place from 4 to 25 September 1954 in Amsterdam ( Netherlands).

It was attended by 26 teams that determined the team for the final groups A and B in four opening acts. 149 players took part in the competition, including 19 grandmasters and 38 international masters. Both the opening acts as well as the final groups were discharged as a round robin tournaments. The first three teams each opening act qualified for the Final Group A
It was played in the Apollo Hall. The cooling-off period was two and a half hours for 40 moves, then one hour for each 16 moves. The rankings were determined based on the board points (BP) and Team Points (MP).
