1201 Third Avenue

The 1201 Third Avenue Tower, formerly Washington Mutual Tower is the second tallest skyscraper in Seattle in the U.S. state (Washington). The 235 meter high building has 55 floors. The building was after its construction, the headquarters of the finance company Washington Mutual until 2006, the company had moved on a block in the WaMu Center. The building was opened on 15 May 1988, is the first "post-modern " high-rise building in the city. The New York Times described the building as one of the three best new office buildings in the country in 1988.
