( 1221 ) Amor is an asteroid after a whole class of asteroids ( Amor - type) was named, whose track runs partly within the orbit of Mars.

Cupid was discovered in 1932. It moves at a distance of 1.086 AU ( perihelion ) and 2.754 AU ( aphelion ) around the sun. Its orbit is inclined 11.878 ° to the ecliptic, the orbital eccentricity is 0.435. On his path he can approach up to 16.3 million kilometers of the Earth and 14.2 may be bright.
