Production
The PaK 44 was developed in 1943 by Krupp and built from 1944 in the Krupp Berthawerken in Wroclaw. A total of 51 guns were built. The tube life was from 1000 to 2000 income.
Description
The PaK 44 had a cross carriage, which enabled her to 360 ° all-round fire.
Ammunition
The floors had to be loaded separately ( grenade and cartridge ), whereby the rate of fire was reduced.
Use
The PaK 44 was used from the start as a heavy field gun and PaK. Hence the designation 12.8 cm gun 44 was common. As PaK they came as main armament at Jagdpanzer VI Jagdtiger used.
