Oslo 13 was founded in 1981 and directed by Jon Balke Norwegian jazz band, which existed until 1993.

Oslo 13 was founded in 1981 as a forum for young jazz musicians from the Oslo Jazz scene. Much of the music is composed by keyboardist Jon Balke and arranges, who is also responsible for the typical Scandinavian sound. In it played in frequently changing line-ups, the leading musicians of the Norwegian jazz scene, as the trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer, Jens Petter Antonsen and Staffan Svensson, trombonists Torbjørn Sunde and Dag Einar Eilertsen, the tuba player Geir Løvold, the saxophonist Morten Halle, Tore Brunborg, Erik Balke, Olav Dale, Arne Frang, Trygve Seim and Thomas Gustavsson, Carl Morten Iversen bassist and drummer Audun Kleive and Jon Christensen.

In 1981, Oslo 13 Album anti Therapy in Odin Records on. For the album Off Balance ( Odin Records, 1988) they were in 1988 awarded the Norwegian Spellemannprisen. In 1992, the album Nonsentration at the Munich ECM label; as the last work of the band, the album Oslo was published in 1992 13 Live on the label Curling Legs.

Trygve Seim was appointed in 1992 to Jon Balke's group; In 1994 he took over the leadership of the group under the new name in 1300 Oslo together with Morten Halle and Torbjørn Sunde.
